Alliance Française shines at the Sanaa Theatre Awards. [fr]

The Sanaa Theatre Awards were initiated in 2013 by the Kenyan playwright and journalist, George Orido, with the aim of recognizing excellence in the field of theatre in Kenya. Around 40 different prizes are awarded each year. The 2018 Awards Jury was Chaired by Dr. Fred Mbogo from the Theatre and Drama department of the Technical University of Kenya and Dr. Margaretta wa Gacheru, Arts Correspondent with the Nation Media group.

The Alliance Française de Nairobi was nominated in three categories:

• Best all-time supporting institution
• Best performing theatre space
• Best improved theatre space

and for the second consecutive time, it won the Award for the Best all-time supporting institution.
