Educative cooperation between La Réunion island and Kenya : perspectives [fr]
For one week, the French Embassy in Kenya played host to the DAREIC (Délégation académique aux relations européennes et internationales et à la coopération) from La Réunion.
Major official visits (Ministry of National Education, Kenyan schools, universities, TVET, LIWA) were conducted. In addition, the delegation participated in the second edition of the Kenyan skills show.
This first visit to Kenya, which was very encouraging, had a twofold objective:
- strengthen school exchanges, especially linguistic exchanges.
- Explore the possibilities of launching joint projects in the field of vocational training.
This morning, teachers and representatives of the pilot schools (more on the pilot schools here) as well as Corinne Masson (Policy Officer) and Marjorie Coste (Technical Advisor to the Rector) of the DAREIC of Reunion Island met at the Embassy. The exchanges focused on the possibilities of twinning and pedagogical exchanges between the Kenyan pilot schools and schools from La Reunion.
