FRENCH WAS HONOURED ON NOVEMBER 13TH IN MOMBASA [fr]

The third edition of the French day in Mombasa was successfully held on 13 November.

The event organized by Light International School Mombasa brought together three participating schools: Greenwood Groove Academy, Light International Mombasa and Shree Swaminarayan Academy.

After opening the event with the French Anthem, La Marseillaise, there followed amazing performes by the students; dances, poetry recitations and reading competitions that highlighted this festive day. The event ended with the award ceremony for Francophone talent, in the presence of Mr Vincent Padaré, Director of the Alliance Française Mombasa.

This made it possible to offer all the participants and each winners of this event, French books and many gifts offered by the language cooperation service of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service (SCAC) of the French Embassy in Kenya.

The jury for this day was composed of various members of the academic teams of the participating schools as well as two members of the Alliance Française. These local initiatives that promote French in Kenya are valuable collaborations to promote French language learning in Mombasa and to enhance the value of learners.
