Press Conference - Les Renctores Africa 2017 [fr]
On Thursday 31 August 2017, "Les Recontres Africa 2017" organized a Press Conference at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi.
The press conference started with some welcome remarks from the event host and other key speakers. From left to right, Larry Asego (the evening’s host), Pius Rotich (general manager of KenInvest), Kim Ramoneda (Deputy Ambassador of the French Embassy in Kenya), Annemjn Perrin (Foreign Trade Advisor and conference organizer) and Brenda Mbathi (Director of Kepsa).
In her opening remarks Mrs. Kim RAMONEDA introduced "Les Rencontres Africa 2017." She emphasized:
The importance of the "Rencontres Africa 2017" conference for France and Africa in terms of business.
The creation of new partnerships between the French and African public and private sectors, and in particular those in Eastern Africa.
The general manager for KenInvest thanked the representatives of the French Embassy in Kenya and assured them of the involvement of the private sector in hosting these meetings. He assured the partners of KenIvest’s support for the meeting and promised to contribute to the success of the event in October.
Brenda Mbathi spoke about trade between France and Kenya and the employment opportunities that French companies offer Kenyans.
The final speaker was Ms. Perrin, organizer of the Conference, and she informed the participants of the magnitude of this meeting for Kenya as well as France, and then briefly mentioned various large companies that will take part in this meeting such as BOLLORE, ALSTOM, PEUGEOT... and other personalities and investors.
