The "Teachers of French Day" Competition [fr]
The "Teachers of French Day" brings together French teachers from all over the world. Its objective is to enhance the value of teachers but also to exchange on teaching practices.
Innovation and creativity improve the daily teaching of French and transform the teaching profession. In the Kenyan context, as a teacher, how do you experience this in class? That’s the question we’re asking you in this Teachers of the Day Competition for the French teacher! Innovation is not only digital, it can be everywhere, in the simplest practices as well as in complex educational processes.
Theme 2019: Innovation and creativity

Deadline for submission: 28 February 2020
To be won: 4 free admission tickets to the BELC, the major summer university to be held in April 2020 in Nairobi!
And in addition:
1st place: a stereo headset with microphone,
2nd place: an audio headset,
3rd: a webcam
All prizes will be accompanied by a French as a foreign language teaching guide in order to help you in your teaching profession.
All participants will be offered a fun activity kit in PDF format to offer different, innovative and creative classroom activities.

How to participate?
In class, between November 28 and February 28, we invite you to design and propose an activity for your students who are changing from the ordinary and allow them to learn in a new way. An activity that creates a bond or solidarity, an action or play activity, an individual educational activity that calls on creativity or group experiences, all your ideas are welcome! Take a picture of your students during the activity or have them take a picture of you teaching.
On February 28th before midnight, send us by email the completed participation form, a description of the activity you have designed and a photo. Please send us by email these 3 documents under the title "JOUR DU PROF DE FRANÇAIS" to email@example.com
The jury, composed of members of the KATF, the Alliance Française de Mombasa and the Linguistic Department at the French Embassy in Nairobi, will select the best entries. The winning proposals will appear in the digital kit that will be sent to all contestants!
