Visa application at the French Embassy – New Process for Booking an Appointment

The Embassy of France in Nairobi (Kenya) wishes to inform visa applicants that all appointments must now be booked DIRECTLY and EXCLUSIVELY by writing an e-mail to visas.nairobi-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr as the online platform (France-Visas) has been deactivated. However, kindly note that all appointments taken previously on that platform will still remain valid.

When making your visa application via email, kindly indicate the following details:

  Number of Travellers,
  Their names in full (name and surname);
  Date of Travel ;
  Purpose of travel (if professional, enclose a letter of invitation or a supporting document).

It is highly recommended that you request an appointment as soon as your travel date is known, to ensure that you obtain your visa appointment on a date set at least 15 days before departure. Applications cannot be submitted more than 6 months before your planned departure, but it should be at least two weeks before the intended departure date.

Kindly note that the Embassy does not charge any fees for booking an appointment.

In case you are unable to honour your visa appointment, it is imperative to inform us at least 48 hours in advance. In case of no shows, your next application will not be taken into account as a priority.
